Certificates

A candidate will be given a signed certificate indicating where he/she has

passed the complete Basic Science including Optics and Refraction
passed with distinction
passed with merit
passed Basic Science only (without Optics & Refraction)
passed Optics and Refraction only

Unless candidates have passed the complete Basic Science Examination (or have been granted exemption from it) they cannot normally proceed to the Clinical Sciences Examination.
